Zicherheit is moving to South Carolina! We will be ceasing all operations until then!
Security is at the heart of our company, it's what we were founded on and continue to improve upon. Officers continue to undergo training throughout their tenure with us, improving upon what they are originally taught and learned on the job as well as broadening their knowledge of operations.
Only qualified, licensed personnel, mostly retired from law enforcement, have prior military service, or have a long history in the security industry are hired. However, we sometimes hire college students studying in the fields of criminal justice, sociology, or other related fields. This allows them to work with mentors and gain valuable experience.
Minimum qualifications are set above State standards for serving as a contractor and can be provided to any potential client or client at their request. We hire for specific environments rather than just general employees. For example, we understand that security at a hotel or condominium requires different skills from those assigned to patrolling industrial parks and yards. To accomplish this, we have different interview processes and training.
In addition, before a potential candidate is hired, our candidates go through an extensive, thorough interview process as well as a background check, and drug screening process (6-panel test for marijuana/cannabis, cocaine, opiates, amphetamines, methamphetamines, and benzodiazepines). In addition, our company has at its disposal, alcohol test swabs.
Furthermore, before an officer is assigned to a particular property, we test the security officer’s knowledge of the site before he/she assumes a post. We will coordinate with the property manager and/or point-of-contact so that orientation of the property can be made. We will also provide two sets of post orders. General Post Orders cover our requirements (uniforms, reporting, grooming standards, timeliness, etc.). A second set of orders, Specific Post Orders are issued and contain the directions specific to the property (access, parking restrictions, noise levels, etc.)
Again, our goal is to form lasting relationships with our clients not just meet contractual obligations.
Examples of security provided by our officers (not all-inclusive):
Perform security patrol of the premises/property (Interior and exterior)
Uphold property rules, such as, but not limited to:
Provide a daily, detailed report to management which will include:
Daily Reports as well as incident reports are completed electronically. In addition to recording activities, the system can be used as a tracking mechanism so that both the client and Zicherheit can be aware of the security officer’s location or where they have visited at any time. This is accomplished by geofencing and/or by placing small barcode stickers throughout the property being patrolled, requiring the security officer to physically scan these barcodes, and documenting his/her actual presence at these locations. There will be no mistaking when and where a security officer checks a particular area such as a gate, door, or room.
In addition to security matters, the security officer can identify safety and other miscellaneous matters and enter these into the system so that building management is aware of the problem/concern, instantaneously if the client desires.
At a mutually agreed upon, designated time, these reports will be forwarded to the client for their review. In addition, clients can review the security officer’s actions and locations in real-time by logging online into the system. Clients even can “dispatch” an officer to a reported concern.
If we've caught your interest and want to get more into the details, check our informational brochures we provide for all prospective contracts. Pricing, personnel, the scopes of our services, and much more can all be found within.
Each of our personnel will be issued a standard Zicherheit uniform bearing a company patch identifying the security officer as an employee of Zicherheit LLC. In addition, a company-issued identification card, a security badge, a nameplate/tag, a CPR Certification card, and a state-issued security guard license card will always be displayed.
The Zicherheit uniform will consist of a grey colored shirt with the agency patch on the left sleeve and the American flag on the right sleeve. The decision on whether the officer will wear a short or long-sleeved shirt is dependent on the season. In addition to the shirt, the officer will wear black work boots, grey trousers, and a black tie (when in the long-sleeved shirt).
Additional uniform items that will be provided are rain gear, winter coat, spring/fall coat, hat, reflective vest and any other uniform items as agreed upon by the client and Zicherheit.
Client requests for other uniform designs can be accommodated. For example, some of the hotels we provide security for requested a more relaxed uniform. Our officers wore polo shirts, however, they were clearly identifiable.
Guard Appearance is dictated through internal policy which is enforced through regular inspections. Zicherheit policy far surpasses those standards established by the state.
Standard equipment to be provided will consist of a rechargeable flashlight, a cellular phone, or a similar device for use by the security officer as a means of communication between the client, tenants of client property, Zicherheit, and the security officer(s) as well as any other equipment as agreed upon by the client and Zicherheit.
